To raise awareness of the next Accelerate Green programme, a new series of seminars featuring conversations with leaders from the world of impact and sustainability investment has been announced. This series is targeted at business leaders and entrepreneurs looking to understand more about the low-carbon, green economy, and want to know about what supports are available to help them scale.

The next event in the series, Business Efficiency and Sustainability with Data Tracking, will be held in-person at Stream Birr, Co. Offaly on Tuesday 8th November from 4-6pm.

Speakers Caitriona Montgomery, Business Development Manager, stream BIRR, Offaly will host this event and explain how stream Birr can help businesses in this regard to maximise their data efficiency. Gary Gallagher, CEO of OptaHaul will explain how his business is helping dairies increase efficiency while decreasing emissions. Alan Costello, Resolve Partners is leading the Accelerate Green programme with Bord na Móna which helps companies in climate and sustainability sectors to scale. Companies in renewable energy, carbon capture , energy utilization, energy storage; circular economy; bioeconomy; and sustainable food can apply to the programme to avail of guidance on strategy, world-class mentorship, network engagement and industry connections.

Seamus Duffy, Education and Engagement Manager, I-LOFAR, Birr Castle Demesne Birr will talk about the data analysis capabilities at I-LOFAR, which is the Irish addition to a state-of-the-art radio telescope network covering over 300,000 square metres that allows Irish researchers to participate in groundbreaking research on solar weather.
