The Irish Peatlands Conservation Council (IPCC) has planned a series of exciting events to highlight the importance of peatland restoration during National Heritage Week, from Saturday, August 13 to Sunday, August 21.
National Heritage Week, an initiative by the Heritage Council, celebrates Ireland's built, natural and cultural heritage.
The IPCC will take part by promoting their ongoing work at peatlands in Ireland and by educating on bog biodiversity
The peatlands activities planned include guided walks in Lodge Bog (Co. Kildare) and Girley Bog (Co. Meath), as well as a "Day of Action" for butterflies in Lullymore West.
