The 2030 Agenda encourages countries to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into planning and policy, on both a national and international level. Ireland's Second SDG National Implementation Plan is under development which will set out arrangements for interdepartmental coordination, stakeholder engagement and actions needed for further SDG Implementation from 2021 to 2023.
While the National Implementation Plan itself will not include policy actions, it will aim to support and promote policies across government which contribute towards meeting the Goals and identify opportunities for enhancing policy coherence.
This online consultation aims to:
- Assess the awareness of, and engagement with, the Sustainable Development Goals
- Establish general opinion on progress made to date
- Seek feedback and recommendations to inform the drafting and development of the next National Implementation Plan
